This was on the last page of Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet.” I noticed it right after the section about Work.
"And to live through labour is to be intimate with life’s inmost secret."
"Work is love made visible. For if you bake bread with indifference, you bake a bitter bread that feeds but half man’s hunger."
Love for art, creativity, expression, comes through the labour of designing and is the way you “may keep peace with the earth and the soul of the earth.”
